Gardening 101: Growing Food from the Ground Up We have many dates on the calendar so click the link and pick the best date for you! Have you ever wanted to grow your own food but didn’t know where to start? Gardening 101 at Restoration Farm is a hands-on, beginner-friendly class designed to help you build confidence and grow food successfully—no experience required. In this class, you’ll learn the foundations of gardening, including: Understanding soil and why it matters What to plant and when in our local climate How to start seeds and transplant seedlings Watering, spacing, and basic plant care Simple, sustainable practices that work in real life (even in small spaces) Whether you’re planting in a backyard, raised bed, or a few containers, this class will give you practical tools you can use right away. You’ll leave with knowledge, encouragement, and a deeper connection to the soil and where your food comes from. All proceeds from this class support the expansion of Restoration Farm’s 2026 garden, helping us grow more food, offer more education, and continue restoring our community’s relationship with the land. Come learn, get your hands dirty, and grow something good—together.
Light has a way of bringing people together. Join us for a candle making workshop at the Stables Marketplace, where each candle poured helps fund Restoration Farm's pay-what-you-can farm store, restoring our connection to the land, community, and provision. A simple act with lasting impact. Click here for your ticket - https://www.shiplapandsage.com/classesworkshops
